WHY: The press conference is one of the first stops on the Greenpeace Rolling Sunlight tour of Florida from October 5 – October 24, 2002. The tour is intended to raise the issues of global warming and clean energy solutions in the Florida elections, particularly the gubernatorial race. Greenpeace has a five-point position that would spark the growth of clean energy while moderating the threats of global warming. Greenpeace is urging all political candidates in Florida to support a statewide Global Warming Action Plan.
