Summer Solstice Celebration

Many people who are awakening to the realities of our environmental crisis feel lost. How should we respond?   Will our efforts have any effect?  What are our most important tasks now?

For just that reason, six years ago, a group of us began the Heart of the Earth Movement.  We knew that our spirits would be lifted and our effect greater if a thousand other people in our home region were concerned and acting with us.  In these years we have gathered people together, and shared the information we’ve collected. We have lead others into wild places to better understand the place we live, and we have celebrated this sacred community to which we belong.

We invite you to join us in celebrating:

The Summer Solstice

Thursday, June 21, 2007

at the United Church, 1834 Mahan Drive

7:00 in the evening

  • Explore the story of the Cosmos.

  • Strive to understand more clearly our role in the Earth community.

  • Ask questions that will shed light on this moment in history and begin to create the map that will lead us into an unknown future.

  • Together share our concerns and, most importantly, our sense of awe at this miraculous, unfolding life.
